Wireless Network Design and Setup
for EDGEof, Inc.
Challenges:
Providing space for innovation.
EDGEof, Inc., a Tokyo entity that facilitates interaction between innovators and entrepreneurs through a brainstorming “clubhouse,” was looking for a fast, reliable network to support their startup incubator operations. Given the nature of startups, members of the EDGEof community required an especially secure network environment, which would protect sensitive data while also allowing for vibrant collaboration.
Solutions:
Creating a fast, secure wireless network.
We developed a wireless network, which would support a density of up to 200 devices, for the 2nd floor event space in their 8-story clubhouse in Tokyo’s Shibuya district. Avoiding the typical high costs of wireless networks built for density, we provided a fast and secure solution, allowing for a robust work environment with dynamic management controls throughout all eight floors of the building.

Keeping data open and secure.
Our solution helps to keep user data safe by allowing full network access without the inherent risk of a shared common password. Members share the same network using the guest manager’s self-service kiosk, which assigns individual PPSK wireless keys for each member. In short, we delivered excellent cost performance for a dynamic and fast moving startup environment.
